Lake Irvine is receiving 1,000 lbs. of Trout a week for the months of December, January and February. Anglers are bringing in limits from the West shore with nightcrawlers and chartreuse colored Powerbait. Most of the trout this season has been in the 1-3 pound range. Unfortunately due to the disease breakout in the hatcheries they’ve had smaller fish being planted this year.

More than 60 years of angling tradition came to a close last Sunday, as Irvine Lake closed its doors to the public. Numerous anglers stopped by to pay their respects, and relive the many memories.
