Well the kids are back in school so it's time for us so called grownups to get in on some light load big game action. The Freelance continues to run ?? day trips going to Catalina Island and on the right days are running offshore for the Yellow Fin Tuna that are starting to go on the bite. Maybe even some Dorado if they find the right kelps. Some ?? day boats locally have had fish in the 30 pound plus range. Catalina has been holding some Yellowtail and Bonito with some decent Bass fishing also. The Freelance is also still running Twilight trips Thursday-Sunday and they have been doing very well on the Sculpin and some Bass mixed in. The Twilights leave at 7pm.
The Western Pride is running a 6am and 12:30pm ?? day trips all week. Next week starting on the 8th they will only be running the 12:30pm afternoon ?? day trip mid week and will be running the double ?? days on the weekends. They have been fishing in the Laguna Beach area for Calico Bass, Sheep Head, and other assorted species.
The Tide Change has a number of 1 day trips on the books and a couple of 1.5 day trips also. He has been running offshore for the mixed species of Tuna in US waters with some Dorado also in the mix. Call us in the office for the present schedule and prices.
The Caliber continues to run Saturday night Shark trips. These trips depart at 6:30pm and are at a cost of $75. Capt. Jack has done well all summer and this may be your chance to hook into a large Mako Shark. These trips fill up fast so call us in the office to make your reservations while you can.
