The bite has steadily improved over the past few weeks with the offshore fishing producing good catches of dorado, a few more yellowfin tuna, a few blue marlin and a seriously improved bite on the sailfish. Inshore action, especially around the buoys, continues to be productive for the dorado, but just a bit farther offshore has been producing a few sailfish in the super panga counts, too. Overall counts for the offshore sportfishingg cruisers for 41 fished days reflected 2 blue marlin released, (about 275. lbs.) 30 sailfish, 25 yellowfin tuna, 1 mako shark and 207 dorado. The inshore fishing for 7 super panga days reflected 4 sailfish, 2 shark and 25 dorado.

Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy, temps ranging from 78 nights to 90 daytime highs, with PM and night rains.

Sea Conditions: Water temps ranging from 85 inshore to 87 offshore, with good clarity and surface conditions and gentle swells.

Best Fishing Area: Good dorado fishing at the shark buoys and for the offshore cruisers. Also, sailfish showing in closer with the warmer waters.

Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits worked best for the sails and good for the dorado, too.
