Flows are 172 CFS. This is absolutely perfect. The flows have remained in this range for a couple of weeks now. The fish are very active and the PMD's are starting to hatch. The hatch usually starts around 9:00 am and can go until 1:00 pm on non windy days. Truckee River Outfitters Guide Service has a lot of clients catching fish on PMD dries right now on the Little Truckee.

Bugs are out in force. The evening hatches are prolific right now. Caddis and Little Yellow Stones are the main two with a few PMD's, Green Drakes and Stone flies as well. In the mornings nymphing with Z-Wing Caddis, Little Yellow Sallies, HBI's as a dropper and Green Drake Nymphs and Mercer's Poxy Back Stones as a lead fly is the way to go. Water Conditions: Flows are between 200 and 220 cfs and have been stable for several days. These are great flows for theEast Walker. The water is still cool and clear and the fish have enough water to move around. The wading gets tougher at this flow but the fish will move into shallower water making them more accessible.
