Nestucca River - Pacific, OR

This is a great time of year to fish the Nestucca, as there are early run hatchery fish still around, as well as brood stock hatchery fish starting to show up. That said, last week was disappointing as the river dropped in to great shape, but the fishing stayed slow. North Coast Rivers can be fickle, and hopefully the Nestucca will heat up soon. Float fishing jigs, beads, or bait, drift fishing, nymphing, and swinging flies or spinners are all good techniques. With the early hatchery fish, staying in the lower river and Three Rivers is the best bet.
