Pit River is currently being "ramped" down, back to the normal 150cfs flows, but this week will still be high and very dangerous. Also, with the flushing out, conditions will definitely have changed from earlier in the month. Recommend waiting until after the 27th before trying your luck here.

Baum Lake is still slow. Some bait and lure fishermen are still catching a few fish, but the flyfishermen are working for hours for one or two hits. Continues to be a good bet to catch some nice trout, with weekly plants taking place. Watch for good flows, as the fish seem to congregate there. Fly fishermen doing best on nymphs, however, don't hesitate to try BWO's, callibaetis, mahogany duns, as well as small emergers and bead-head nymphs.
