It was another epic day here on the Upper Klamath River east of I-5 and also an "Epic Day of Firsts" for angler Kevin Wall (of Ireland now a San Francisco resident) who landed his first salmon, his first steelhead and joined an exclusive Upper Klamath River Club by landing a 10-plus pound hatchery steelhead!
Eric Wall with his 10-plus pound, 28-inch steelhead taken yesterday from the Upper Klamath River
All this happened on his first visit to the Klamath River while fishing from a Willie Driftboat with me for the first time!!
When it was all said and done Kevin landed 10 adult steelhead over 20 inches and 4 pounds plus one 12-pound salmon, all on a 5/6 flyrod while fishing a rubber legged stonefly and egg imitations under a bobber/float/indicator.
