Trout Fishing

Trout bite has still been Fair. With the warmer weather it is best to fish early in the day or later in the afternoon. Looks like the Rock wall and the Dam area were the best places to catch fish this week that is the deepest part of the lake so they must be down deep.

Lake Conditions

Lake Level: 305.6
Surface Temp: 72

Fish Plant: Mt. Lassen planted 1400 lbs of trout on Monday May 23rd at the main rec.

Fish Tales

Richard Hammel from Richmond caught 1 trout weighing 5.5 lbs on the Handicapped Dock on 5/28/16 using worms and nightcrawlers combo.

Alfredo Hernandez of San Pablo caught 2 trout at the Rock- Wall using green power-bait on 5/29/16.

Matthew & Meghan Mitchell of San Mateo caught 3 trout near the dam on 5/30/16

Park Information

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during June being 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 6:00 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Café is open the hours are 9:00 to 3:00 closed on Mondays.
