http://www.truckeeriveroutfitters.comFlows have been dropping over the past week. They are currently at 75 CFS. Unfortunately every fall the flows seem to drop to around 30 CFS about the time the Kokanee Salmon and the Big Brown Trout run up the Little Truckee to Spawn. So far they have not gone below 75 CFS but that could change any day. Baetis are starting to show and if you can get up there on a cloudy day you could be in for some decent dry fly fishing. Nymphing with small nymphs in sizes 18 to 22 have been doing the best. Dry Dropper set-ups have also been worth a try and as the water continues to drop could be the way to go.

The Truckee remains in great shape and is fishing very well. The water is starting to cool off and fall conditions are starting to take shape. California - The River is a little low through the town of Truckee. It is at 88 CFS coming out of Lake Tahoe and 109 CFS in the town of Truckee. This section is low and clear so a more stealthy approach is a must. These are great flows for dry dropper set-ups. Most of......
