Last week the DFWL stocked trout here and there is an additional stocking scheduled next week. The trout bite has been solid over the last couple weeks. Trout have been going for Powerbait in corn, rainbow garlic, hatchery pellet and chartreuse. Anglers also reported good action with Jumbo red worms, Get Bent Baits and Trout On mini jigs in various bright colors. We had reports of fly anglers doing well with Wooly Buggers and midges. There’s another trout stocking scheduled during the week of April 23rd by DFWL. We’re working with local agencies and the DFWL to stock Bass and Bluegill back into the lakes. It looks promising for future gamefish stocking but may take a couple months.
