The Virginias are kicking out some fish each day but sometimes you'll have to work a little to figure out what they want to eat. Some days the lure fishing has been the best and other days the bait fishing has been better. Probably the most consistant has been fly fishing from tubes or kayaks lately. Bait anglers are using power bait, pinched crawlers, inflated crawlers and mice tails. Lure anglers have been doing the best with kastmasters, thomas bouyants and mini jigs. Fly anglers have been going with simi seal leeches, seal buggers, stillwater nymphs, soft hackles, beetles and ants. It seems that early and late in the day have been the best with the action slowing during the middle (heat) of the day.
