Lafayette Reservoir Fishing Report

Fishing remains slow at Lafayette Reservoir as the new rains put more material into the lake. However, the rain seems to favor the largemouth bass. On March 13th a 9Lbs and a 3Lbs bass was captured by two different anglers. They did not have their photo taken and didn’t sign the wavier to release their names. Lafayette Reservoir has one more Trout plant scheduled for the season and our waters have risen almost to capacity.

Lafayette Reservoir’s fishing seems to be hit or miss as boats are going out, but not much being caught due to the rainy weather. Some anglers have mentioned having luck with trout using bass rigging, but could not confirm.
