We received an excellent fish report from Mazatlan today, reflecting very good fishing though the week with the boats releasing 2-3 sailfish per boat day, along with good numbers of dorado and yellowfin tuna. The dorado are averaging 25-30 lbs. Also in the mix was 5 blue marlin, (3 releases) with the fish all about 200 to 250 lbs.
Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy this week with temps from 77 nights to 91 daytime highs and an occasional P.M. shower.
Sea Conditions: Generally, calm, temps from 82 to 83 throughout the area.
Best Fishing Area: Billfish between 18 to 22 miles west of the Marina. Dorado was best out to the south, along the current lines and the yellowfin at 25-30 miles out to the south of the Marina.
Best Lure/Bait: Billfish on rigged mullet and artificials, green & yellow tuna feathers for the tuna and ballyhoo for the dorado.

8-21-2008The Mexico Fish Reports The fishing really did pick up this past week and best of all, it was just outside the entrance to the Cabo Bay.
