The perch are starting to move off of their beds in shallow, and migrating out to the deeper water outside of their spawning areas. I've seen huge schools suspended out in 25 feet of water in McGee Bay. There are also some big schools of fish holding in 17 to 20 feet off of Six Bays. The best way to get these fish when they are suspended is to slow troll for them with small crank baits or small Rapalas. You can also get them by slow trolling a 1/8 oz lead head with a power grub and a croppie nibble.
