The flows on the East Walker have gone down from 70 CFS to 40 CFS over the past few days. All in all pretty good flows when you consider they are usually around 20-30 CFS in the winter. They do tend to fluctuate more as we move into spring so check before you go. If the flows continue to drop there can also be some ice around the edges as well.

The California side has been fishing really well. Baetis and Midge patterns fished under a small indicator or "High Sticking" has been very effective. The middle of the day continues to be the time to go. There have been some Skwalas showing up lately but most of them are down river and are abundant on the Nevada side. Dry dropper set-ups with a Stone Fly and a Baetis or a Midge dropper can be a lot of fun right now. Nymphing with a Stone Fly and a Baetis dropper on the Nevada side is also a good way to go.
