Fishing returned to it's normal and everyone was happy as they loaded their limits into their vehicles. Weather took an upturn and we got another great week of beautiful weather, mornings have been running 41 to 47 degrees. Afternoons are breezy giving the fish better cover making it easier for the angler also. DFG is still stocking 500 lbs weekly, and we did our thing, and the fishing has been sensational.

Weather for the week:
Sunday: Clear skies am some clouding pm.
Monday: Clear am with some high thin clouds, slight breeze most of the afternoon.
Tuesday: Clear and warm.
Wednesday: Slight am breeze, thin high clouds with red sky at 6:25am.
Thursday: Clear and warm.
Friday: Clear and warm.
Saturday: 41 at 6:30am and clear, and aspens are turning a lovely pale yellow in patches up and down the road.

Lures for the week: Red/Gold Buoyants, Kastmasters, Gold Hot Shotsand black Bouyants.

Bait for the week: Night Crawlers, rainbow and yellow/green power eggs, yellow marshmallows, garlic power bait.

Flies for the long-rod benders: Olive crystal wooly buggers, Red Throated Matukas, rust Twin Lakes Special with a Griffith's Gnat under, naked Grey Hackle Yellow, naked Olive Caddis, Rickard's seal bugger, AP emerger and the various special tied beauties of the Stockton Delta Fly Fishers. Thanks to a gentleman from DFF that passed along one of his favorites, my gratitude. Great fly. See me next year J.

The next week is expected to be in the normal range meaning in the low 70's and it has been that most of the week with zero precipitation. Some cloud cover moved in for a couple days, just the fluffy marshmallow type giving the fish a bit of security while providing the angler a...... Read More
