The week was fairly productive due to another change in air temperature which signaled a change in behavior. Evenings temps were on the rise, but have now started to drop again into the low 40's and may hit the high 30's by early next week. Cloud cover moved in today along with the wind which cleared the parking lot of anglers and only the hardest took fish. DFG did their thing, and so did we, still doing it on a weekly basis, but can't figure out where these hawgs are disappearing. But some folks seem pretty happy as I see a lot of fish hitting coolers and anglers leaving fairly early every morning. Lures for the week were Red/Gold and Gold Buoyants, Kastmasters, Gold/red Hot Shots, and Cripple lures in yellow/gold.

Flies for the flingers were olive and rust wiggle tails, red throated Matukas custom tied streamers in olive and black (real beauties), rust Twin Lakes Special, mosquitoes, Adams female, Griffith's Gnats, Grey Hackle Yellow, black ants, black gnats, BH soft hackle/orange or yellow, naked Caddis and Grey Hackle Peacock (on good days).

Bait for the week: Crawlers (big and little), Pink Power Eggs, salmon eggs, Orange Power Worms, grasshoppers and grubs were the main menu.

Sharon Morgan 3lb 1oz Alper out of Big Virginia.
Ken Knapp of Corona caught a 3lb 3oz on 8.21 on a gold Kastmaster.
Eva Tuchband of Westland Village caught an Alper 5lb 9oz on power bait.
