The East Walker has been fishing great. The flows have been in the 260 cfs to 270 cfs for about a week now. Hoppers are starting to show and the big dry fly fishing has been outstanding. The flows are just a bit high for crossing but there are some spots that crossing the river is do-able if you are a strong wader. When approaching a run make sure to fish the edges before you walk up to them. There are fish along the banks out of the current looking up. Turk's Tarantulas, Madam X's, Parachute Hoppers and big Stimulators are great dry fly choices. If you are going to use a dropper try cream colored Caddis patterns. Nymphing and streamer fishing has also been catching some fish.
