Buena Vista was stocked this week with both Rainbow and Lightening Trout. Anglers have been scoring with Minijigs, dough bait, Mousetails, and nightcrawlers. Lure anglers landed some of the biggest lightening trout. Crappie were on fire again last week, and Kayak anglers have been tearing it up on small swimbaits and jigs. It seems like almost any color will get the job done, but white and chartreuse have been some of the favorites. The real trick has been finding the small schools of crappie and presenting your bait at the right depth. Catfish anglers used fresh shrimp, nightcrawlers, and dip bait to fool fish, and largemouth took Green Pumpkin Senkos, drop shot, white spinnerbaits.
