Lake Nacimiento Fish Report for 6-24-2022
The spotted bass bite was great last week
Lake Nacimiento - Bradley, CA (San Luis Obispo County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake dropped to 24 percent of capacity, and fishing has been excellent. The spotted bass bite was great last week, with some anglers reporting 30 plus fish days. The best pattern has been to throw topwater and reaction baits early and fish finesses baits for the rest of the day. Poppers, Whopper Ploppers, and walking baits all worked for good number of bass. Crankbaits fooled fish near points and bluffs, and Senkos, and Ned rigs took bass in 10 to 20 feet of water. Anglers also reported a deep-water spoon bite for both large and small mouth bass. White bass went for spoons, white Roostertails, and topwater lures. Catfish anglers used cut mackerel, dip bait, and nightcrawlers to fool fish.
