This wind is absolutely killing me out there. This is the worst start on this lake I can remember in 11 years of owning a boat. The fleet has completely taken over Stormy Flats and Sometimes. I marked fish out at Sandy, but only managed one good sized rainbow and a handful of perch. Same goes for the west side of McGee. Saw some fish in Hilton, but there were boats already parked on my waypoints Wednesday so I didn't even fish it. The fish are all over the place.  Some right on the bottom, some a few feet off the bottom. Some in 17ft, or 22ft, or even out in 27ft! It's been so hard to pin down anything consistent, so don't be afraid to move that bobber up and down before you start changing flies. You're also going to definitely sift through a few perch here and there, they're pre-spawn and hopefully they move onto their beds and go away for a few weeks! When it comes to flies, every single fish I pumped had around size 16-18 gray midges in them. Which lines up because that's the only thing we hooked fish with on Wednesday.
