The lake held near 55 percent of capacity, and water temperatures were in the mid-sixties. The bass bite has been on the edge of breaking wide open, and some anglers have already reported impressive numbers. Senkos, Ned rigs, and Carolina rigs all saw plenty of action in 5 to 20 feet of water. A slower presentation has been the most effective. Keitechs also worked well on a very slow retrieve. Striper went for cut sardines at the Buoy Line and near Elizabeth Canyon. Most of the bigger fish have been holding in 25 to 65 feet of water. Trollers did well on flies and small swimbaits. Catfish ate dip bait, nightcrawlers, and cut baits in deeper coves around the lake.
