Lake Nacimiento Fish Report for 4-15-2022
Spotted bass fishing has been excellent
Lake Nacimiento - Bradley, CA (San Luis Obispo County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
Nacimiento fell to 27 percent of capacity, and spotted bass fishing has been excellent. Most of the action occurred in 5 to 20 feet of water on finesse baits, but there’s also been some good topwater action available. Drop shot, darter heads jigs, and small swimbaits all worked for bites. The white bass went for topwater, Kastmasters, and small white Keitechs. They have been boiling on occasion, and that has been the best time to target them. Catfish anglers did well with sardines, anchovies, and chicken liver. A few quality catfish were reported weighing up to ten pounds.
