Lake Nacimiento Fish Report for 4-8-2022
The spring bite is in full effect at Nacimiento
Lake Nacimiento - Bradley, CA (San Luis Obispo County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The spring bite is in full effect at Nacimiento with anglers reporting 30 plus fish days. According to Dylan Newell it didn’t matter what he threw; the spotted bass gobbled up his baits. Anglers used topwater in the mornings and finesse baits in the afternoons. Senkos, creature baits, and small swimbaits all worked for bites in 5 to 20 feet of water, and small poppers and walking baits worked up on top. The white bass bite improved as well with anglers scoring fish on walking baits, Kastmasters, and in-line spinners. Crappie anglers reported good fishing in 5 to 15 feet of water with minijigs, and catfish anglers used dip bait and cut baits for some solid fish.
