EAST WALKER RIVER

The East is running at about 29 cfs right now. The fishing has been pretty good down there lately, mostly nymphing and a little bit of streamer action. It seems like with the colder weather lately there hasn’t been lots of traffic but most of the anglers we’ve talked to that have been fishing down there have been doing pretty well. With the colder weather it’s no longer necessary to get down there really early and you can certainly fish throughout the day without any worries about water that’s too warm. Some patterns to try: sculpzilla, dead drift crayfish, ziwi, zuddler, double bunny, WD-40, perdigon nymph, zebra midge, silver streak, rainbow warrior, pheasant tail.

SCEIRINE RANCH

We’re also still getting good reports from the rancl lately, lots of nice fish being caught down there. As with the California side, it’s been mostly nymphing with some streamer action thrown in. In addition to the patterns listed above you can try a hare’s ear, dark lord and San Juan worms.

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR

Bridgeport has been a good hot spot this past week, lots of fish being caught both from boats and the shore. The boat anglers are doing some trolling with crawlers, small Rapalas and speedy shiners as well as anchoring up near the shoreline and fishing inflated crawlers, pinched crawlers and mice tails. Shore anglers are casting some Thomas Bouyants and Kastmasters in the mornings and evenings and fishing with inflated crawlers, power bait and mice tails throughout the day.

KIRMAN LAKE

Haven’t heard any news from Kirman over the last couple weeks, we’ll pass on any information as it comes in!

TWIN LAKES

The Twins are producing some good fish lately, some from boats and some from the shore. Inflated crawlers, mice tails and pinched crawlers seem to be the best baits lately and for lures they’ve been using Rapalas, Kastmasters and Thomas bouyants.

WEST WALKER RIVER

We haven’t heard much news from the West lately, I’m sure the water is pretty low but if you search out the deeper pools there should be some fish hiding there, you can try some small spinners or crawlers and eggs to get them to bite.

VIRGINIA LAKES

We’ve had quite a few good reports from the Virginias lately, lots of nice fish being caught with mini jigs, Thomas Bouyants, Kastmasters, power bait, inflated crawlers and pinched crawlers up there. Dress warm, the weather has definitely turned towards the colder.

If you would like to receive this report via email, drop me a line at reidfly63@yahoo.com and I'll get you on the list!

RANDOM INFORMATION: The weather is much c0lder lately than it was a couple weeks ago so be sure to bring your warm gear! The fish are difinitely starting to bite pretty good in most of the local waters!
