Pyramid Lake remained near maximum capacity, and water temperatures have been in the low 80s. Large and smallmouth bass have been readily available for anglers willing to fish the weed beds. Morning topwater has been the easiest way the get bite, but plastic worms and creature baits have been working later in the day. Senkos, flukes, and plastic worms are all good options when fished in weed pockets and breaks. Crankbaits have been another reliable producer when fished deep along outside weed lines. Striper anglers continued their assault on the smaller grade line sides using sardines, anchovies, and nightcrawlers to score limits. Catfish anglers reported another solid week of fishing using chicken liver, cut baits, and dip bait.
