Shad have been around the shore making it a very good fishing week. Bass are being caught from shore using shad or using artificial baits that mimic shad. Trout are being caught from shore and by boat using Kastmasters and silver spoons. Redear and bluegill are being caught using red worms and night crawlers.

The bite has slowed down a bit. We have had a lot of cloudy cool weather and the shad spawn seems to be mostly over. The crazed feeding frenzy was so much fun for hundreds of angels. Anything people were casting out was origin in nice fish. It is a great time for hiking no rattelsnakes yet and the bird watching here has been amazing.
