Killer Top Water Blow ups in the Early Morning Hours

Santa Margarita Lake - CA (San Luis Obispo County)

by Santa Margarita Lake Staff

Killer top water blow ups in the early morning hours as well as late evenings. The water clarity is making a strong come back and the weeds are begging to dissipate along the shore line. More and more people are having luck catching whatever they are going for. Crappie are starting to run, bass are hitting all day and bluegill are biting in all the coves. Fishing is good now. Drop shot a senko or roboworm mid day for the bass or work a dive lure for best results. Crappie are going for their usual tiny jigs. Red worms are the best for the panfish. Catfish are still going for nightcrawler and cut bait.
