It finally snowed again in Tahoe.

Actually woke up to about 4 inches here in the Hirsch, up top, they got almost a foot. Small storm for Tahoe standards, but it’s a start. The long range models are suggesting more storms and bigger, mid-month. Of course, Miracle March was back in 91′, but we’ve had some big March snowfalls recently in 16′, and 18.’ Hopefully we can get back some winter this month.

Flows are still the same out East on the lower Truckee River in Nevada. Fishing has been fair. You always have to put in the work to catch our fish. If you want easy, don’t sign up. If you are willing to work and listen to your captain, you will most likely get rewarded. The streamer fishing has been descent, nymphing descent. I’m hoping we can get a bump in flows mid-month with some precipitation. That will help and get us out of these stagnant conditions and turn on the spark, move some fish around, etc.
