Fishing is Still a Little Tough!

West Walker River (CA) - Walker, CA (Mono County)

The flows on the West are starting to come down a bit but the fishing is still a little tough, the water is still fairly cold and the fish are a little on the slow side still. The good reports we have had have been from anglers adding some good weight to their bait or flies to get them down near the bottom where the fish are hanging out. Night crawlers and salmon eggs have done well for some anglers and there has been some fly anglers doing good with prince nymphs, aggravator prince nymphs and pheasant tails. When the water comes down a little more the dry fly action should start to pick up.
