Biggest story for this week is Catfish. We are earing more about anglers hooking onto nice size and several Catfish. One fellow indicted he had yellow fin tuna getting freezer burn so guess what! Caught 6 Catfish day before. Biggest one about 18 pounds. Bass still hitting but not as often. Crappie seem to have disappeared but Bluegill and Red ear are doing well in shallow water with worms.

Fish are starting to lay down on their beds. Should be spawning before long. Anglers are having some luck with Bluegill and Red ear in the shallows with night crawlers. Fishing here at Santa Margarita has been fair this week. Bass are being caught with buzz baits, crank baits and the like. Pan fish are biting on worms and jigs in the coves shallower water. We have not heard much on catfish. ...... Read More
