Water temperature was 49 degrees. The basss bite showed a bit of improvement last week, and those who dealt with some of the cold weather were reporting a fish or two for their efforts. Fishing jigs, drop shot, or ripbaits very slow, in and around rocky areas was the key to success.

Catfish action remains steady in the White Oak area, with cut mackerel and inflated crawlers taking the majority of the whiskerfish. Once again all other species were absent from the count.

Bass: Fair, Avg Size: 2lbs
Catfish: Fair: Avg Size: 4lbs
