Plummeting water temps have put the bass bite on hold, with most fish suspending in 15’ to 25’ of water. Only a handful of fish were reported, most of which came on small swim baits. Crappie action has also slowed, although one group of anglers did manage around a 1/2 dozen decent slabs off of Mackey point. Small tubes and spinners were the top baits. On a positive note, Artie Ferguson of Paso Robles picked off some quality red ear, and blue catfish. Locations and baits were undisclosed. All other species were no-shows.

The bass bite was tough all week, and only a few fish were reported. Crappie fishing is also slow at the moment, as fisher men only averaged about 1 to 2 fish for their efforts. All other species went unreported. ...... Read More
