Water temperature was 70 Degrees. The recent cold front put a damper on the fishing here, the crappie bite slowed to crawl, as did the bass action. But with temps in the 90's forecast for this week, things should improve. The few crappies that were caught came from main lake points on mini jigs tipped with crappie nibbles. Most bass were suspended chasing shad, and spinner baits, traps, and swim jigs managed to get a few fish. No catfish or red ear was checked in at the marina.

Bass: Fair
Crappie: Fair

Water temperature was 77. Not much has changed here, crappie fishing still good on mini jigs on main lake points, and fishing docks throughout the lake. Slabs to 2.5 lbs were reported. Bass fishing has been fair to good on jigs, traps and small swimbaits. Buggest fish reported was 6lbs, caught by local angler Brad Sheperd. Sheperd used a fluke to trick that fish. Some red ear also showed in the same locations as the crappie. Catfish still can be...... Read More

Crappie still going strong here , both from shore and by boat. Some people reported as many as 15 per angler, with a number 0f 2lb plus slabs on the striper. Mini jigs, roostertails, and most small minnow imitations got bit. The best areas have been white Oak, and the area between the marina, and Mackey point. Bass fishing has been inconsistent, but fair overall. Jigs, swimbaits, traps, and frogs all took there fair share last week. No one has...... Read More
