The Lake is sitting at 54 degrees but the visibility has dropped to about 5 feet or less in the narrows due to the sunshine we had this week. Don't let the algae discourage you I've been seeing limits of smaller Lassen trout this week not as many big ones.

A lot of fishermen are switching over from dough baits to lures and are abandoning their beach plots to walk up and down the shoreline casting spinners and Rapala's in search of trout schools. Although bait fishermen are still having luck on the East beach, Large mouth bass are hitting rattle traps, jerk baits, and rubber worms. Smallmouth are still biting on drop shotting robo worms, dart-head jigs and jigs with craw trailers. Striped bass are still on A-rigs and shad lures some being caught on cut bait again. Catfish continue to stay hidden from fishermen but nobody's fishing for them so I can't say that they are not biting.

Hope to see you soon and good luck!
