11lbs 14oz Largemouth bass was caught this week using a roboworm near the mouth of Las Tablas. White and Spotted Bass remain the most caught fish this week. Many White Bass are being caught and can occasionally be seen boiling in and around the mouth of Las Tablas Cove. Spotted Bass are also congregating in that area, Using plastic worms, small crankbaits, white roostertails, and small swimbait is producing the best result.

Weather: Highs near 100
Weather this week we are expecting highs approaching 100 and lows falling to 50-55 degrees

Spring fishing is still on! spawn hunger is lingering and the fish are still biting. Spotted Bass are the most regularly caught fish. Plastic worms and creatures seem to be producing the best results. Bakersfield Bass Club came out for a tournament on May 10th and the vast majority of fish caught were spotted bass in the 1 to 3 pound range. Spotted Bass and White Bass continue to go strong! Spotted Bass are being caught near rocky shorelines, plastic worms, Rooster Tails, and Rat L Traps are working best. White Bass are congregating and boiling in Las Tablas Cove, use top water lures like Poppers, or smaller spoons like Rooster Tails. Smallmouth and Largemouth bass are being caught at the mouth of coves. Largemouth in the shallows. Smallmouth in slightly depper water. Plastics, Crankbaits, and spinner baits work best for these.
