East Walker River Fishing Report

Truckee River Outfitters

Report Date:

The flows on the East Walker went from 120 CFS to 174 CFS three days ago. This usually will make the water off colored for a couple of days but by the time you read this it should be fine. Fish are still looking up and Hoppers and Stonefly dries are still getting some fish to come to the surface. This pattern should continue until we get a hard frost in the Bridgeport area. Nymphing with smaller flies like Pheasant Tails and Zebra Midges either as a Hopper Dropper set-up or under an indicator has also been working well. Fish have also been really chasing smaller streamers around in the mornings and evenings.
