Fishing at Silver Lake has continued to be excellent this past week. Another load of Alper's Trout on Monday and a load of DFG fish on Friday has made fishing from boat, shore or creek stellar. We had some great looking fish caught using a wide range of baits, from worms to Power Bait and lures from a Thomas Buoyant to a Mepps catching nice size trout. Bob Rucker of Pinon Hills caught a gorgeous 5 lb 6 oz Rainbow from a boat using a Thomas Buoyant. The weather is suppose to change and get cold this weekend but look for a warm and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. We will get another load of Alpers on Monday to get us ready for the big weekend. Also, Silver lake Resort will be having its Chris Jones Memorial Scholarship horseshoe tournament and bbq on Saturday, September 4th so come on out and get some good fishing in, as well as some great bbq and horseshoes.

Fish Of The Week:
1) Bob Rucker of Pinon Hills caught a 5lb 6 oz Rainbow using a Thomas Buoyant.
2) Kevin Carrafiello of Canyon Country caught a nice 4lb 14 oz rainbow using a night crawler.
3) Brett Hudzietz of Long Beach caught a nice 3lb 2 oz rainbow using Rainbow Power Bait.
