The Best Fishing of the Year is Here!

The fall and early winter bring some of the best fly fishing to the Reno Tahoe area every year. Water conditions are in great shape, the fish are very active and there is no one out there! Our Guides are getting clients into some really nice fish both on the surface and below. With no closed season on most local waters the fishing should remain excellent for the next month or so. Call or email the Reno Fly Shop for more details.

Little Truckee River

Flows are 108 CFS. This is the best fall flows we have had in years. The Kokanee are running and not too far behind are the Big Brown Trout. There still is a Baetis hatch on cloudy days and fish can be caught on the surface when they are hatching. Nymphing with Baetis nymphs in size 18 and 20 is working well.
