This is the time of year with a little luck, the right amount of rain and some great timing an angler can slam some great chrome bright king's on the mighty Smith river. Hank Mautz joined guide Dave Jacobs of professional guide service and bagged this huge king salmon on the Smith river in early November. Hanks big salmon jumped all over a fresh sardine wrapped kwikfish and weighed 28 pounds. Angler's are allowed one king salmon on the Smith river. Dave Jacobs and Dave Lannoy of Redding, Ca. both caught their limit of kings that day up to 30 pounds.
