Hi Chad,

I hope all is well with you. Thanks for including us in your reports. Have a great week.
Best Regards, Theresa

The cooler nights and moderate day temperatures continue to improve the trout bite with anglers using lures, jigs, senkos and night crawlers to catch limits. Most trout caught were near or over 2 lbs. Hot spots were the eastern shore and northern shore of lake 2 and the grassy point of lake 3. Bass bite has also improved with anglers reporting excellent action at the western shore of lake 3 and the southeastern shore of lake 2 on senkos with bass up to 3 lbs. Bluegill were hitting lures and meal worms near the pump house and the western shore of lake 2. Most bluegill caught are near or over 1 pound.

Catches of the week: Benito Rojas of Adelanto scored a limit that included 4 lbs 1 ozs and 3 lbs 4 ozs rainbows. He fished the grassy point and used a gold Thomas Buoyant. Ed Herman of Wrightwood caught a limit that weighed 12 lbs 10 ozs using jigs, lures and night crawlers near the inlet of lake 2. Mike Osbourn caught a 2 lbs 2 ozs rainbow using a gold kastmaster on the western shore of lake 3. Jack Krause of Alta Loma reeled in a 3 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on a green Lip Ripperz on the eastern shore of lake 2.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

Hours: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays--7am to 4pm. For more information call (760)240-1107 or go to www.jessranchlakesnews.com.

We are expecting more rain, but doubt if that will happen as the am and pm temperatures are not low enough for snow, and wind is needed to drop the temp to for snow to happen. It's only fall and still early, no worries yet! Night...... Read More
