Steelhead fishing is still permitted in the Feather River, and some decent numbers of fish are being caught, according to Chuck Rice at Feather River Outfitters in Oroville. "The steelheaders are doing pretty well", said Rice. "Nothing too big, up to about four pounds. The best bait has been king-size meal worms fished from the bridge down to the outlet. Most people are releasing all steelhead."
