Cooling temperatures forecast for this weekend and beyond. Look for high 80's and low 90's next week, once again cooling off a bit with breezes during the afternoon. The Lake level looks the same this week as last, and is presently 13 feet below spill. Water at surface unchanged at 78 degrees and 72 at the 20 foot mark. Water clarity is good to 17 feet.

Trolling: Trout are spread out, not congregating in any one location. Try the Narrows, the Barrel Line, the Face of the Dam and the Mouth of the River and up the arm as far as Columbia. Most are hanging in 30 t0 50 feet of water. Reportedly the Trout continue to prefer worms behind small cowbell flashers and will also go after the Kokanee setups.

Recent Success Stories: No pictures available at the Marina again this week. Be sure before you head over to the cleaning station stop by the Marina to get those lunkers photographed so we can share your catch and story on the web.

Kokanee: Numerous reports of good size Kokanee catches and quick limits again this week. All agree the River Mouth in front of the Rock Wall is the primo spot; saw five boats there this morning myself. Kokanee are turning but still firm and feisty to 16 inches. Anything pink, hoochies, beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's along with 3.0-4.0 dodgers in watermelon, silver and green along with scented corn.

Bank Fishing: Quiet again on the banks this week. Power bait balls, maggots and night crawlers get the nod from the more successful bank anglers. Hanging down from a surface bobber or floating up from the bottom on a sliding sinker, both are working well. Chartreuse, white and rainbow are the preferred power bait colors.

Up coming Events: Kokanee Power hosts their annual Lake Pardee Kokanee Derby on Saturday September 20, 2008. Come join us for this fun fishing event. For more information contact Gary Coe at (916)985-4943 or check out the web at www.info@kokaneepower.org.

Pre 1970's Car Show: This family event has a little something for everyone. Mark you calendars on Saturday September 13th from 8am till 4pm. Lake Pardee will host a car show, free boat tours, a "walking poker run", Bocce Ball tournament, live music and a tri tip BBQ.

Trout Plants: The total planted by The Department of fish and Game is 3000 lbs, and Pardee Lake 54,600 lbs with more plants scheduled for the future.
