Continued great weather conditions this week! The forecast calls for temps to drop into the 80s and 90s starting Friday. The Park is still cooling off a bit at night with breezes during the morning and evening. The Lake level looks the same this week as last, and is presently 13 feet below spill. Water at surface measured 78 degrees and 72 at the 20 foot mark. Water clarity is good to 20 feet.

Trolling: Trout continue to hold in 30 to 50 feet of water at the Mouth of the River, up the arm as far as Columbia, the Narrows and along the Barrel line in the south end. Reportedly the Trout continue to prefer worms behind small cowbell flashers.

Recent Success Stories: No pictures available at the Marina this week. Be sure before you head over to the cleaning station stop by the Marina to get those lunkers photographed so we can share your catch and story on the web.

Kokanee update! Not many Trollers this week, but those making the trip here have been doing well. Presently the most productive areas are, South end barrel line, Columbia, Dam face and the River Arm near the Rock Wall. Nice limits of Trout and Kokanee have been showing up after working a combination of these areas. Kokanee are turning but still firm and feisty to 16 inches. Anything pink, hoochies, beaded spinners, Uncle Larry's along with 3.0-4.0 dodgers in watermelon, silver and green.

Bank Fishing: Quiet again on the banks this week, high temperatures have kept a lot of anglers away. A large plant and cooling temperatures should improve the catch significantly. If past experience holds true fishing should be good in the "Mud Hole" at the Launch Ramp, Rainbow Point and Stony Point Landing. Power bait balls, maggots and night crawlers get the nod from the more successful bank anglers. Hanging down from a surface bobber or floating up from the bottom on a sliding sinker, both are working well. Chartreuse, white and rainbow are the preferred power bait colors.

Up coming Events: Kokanee Power hosts their annual Lake Pardee Kokanee Derby on Saturday September 20, 2008. Come join us for this fun fishing event. For more information contact Gary Coe at (916)985-4943 or check out the web at www.info@kokaneepower.org.

Trout Plants: This weekend Pardee recreation will plant another 3000 pounds of good size trout bringing the total planted by The Department of fish and Game to 3000 lbs, and Pardee Lake to 53,600 lbs with more plants scheduled for the future.
