Fishing is still much of the same. For the catfish use anchovies, sardines, mackerel, chicken livers. The boat launch has been the best bite so far. Crappie are biting. You will find the smaller ones from the shoreline for the big ones try Scow Canyon around the reeds and various covers.

Sheng Chio of San Pablo caught a large catfish at the boat launch on 9-12-18.

Robert Lau of San Francisco caught a 6.25 lb Bass he caught and released it on 9-15-18 in the back of a cove on square bill crank-bait he caught 6 total and his friend caught 2 on drop-shot.

Park Information

San Pablo Recreation area is open daily the month of September from 6:30am — 7:30 p.m. Boats having to be off the water at 6:30 p.m. The café is open, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10am to 4 pm.
