On less windy days anglers tossing glidebaits and swimbaits are still catching and releasing good numbers of striped bass in the 22 to 26-inch category.  Even those at anchor tossing thread fin and other types of baits are getting into the action.  Some of the better locations on the San Joaquin River side of the Delta have been in False River between Jersey and Bradford islands to the Old River Flats off Webb Tract, the Old Sounding Board off Venice Island into Venice Reach off Prisoners Point. Over in the south Delta off the mouth of Indian Slough in Old River. Also, bait dunkers taking legal stripers off the Antioch Pier tossing shad and cut sardines.  Information: (925) 234-4694.
