We fished Shasta Lake water today, but on the outflow side of the dam.  Keswick Reservoir provided some quality fish today for sure.  We missed the first light bite but we found some nice fish in the moving water near Shasta Dam.  Steady flows all day kept the plugs diving and we only had to troll on our way back to the Keswick boat ramp.  We need some serious rain and need some cold water flushing to go on soon.  The shoreline is thick with aquatic vegetation in many places and its causing floating debris issues on the reservoir. Its still cleaner than I've seen in years, but I'm afraid thats going to be short lived if the warm sunny winter here in Redding continues.  Anyways gold was the hot color today and our plugs were enhanced with Pautzke Bait Co. Liquid Krill!  Todays water was very low and extremely hazzardous below the dam.  Many car size boulders were only visible by a small piece of rock showing above the surface.  If the boat launch dock is sitting on the ground, the upper section of Keswick will be dangerous.  Tight lines!
