Streams and rivers are now open to trout fishing until Oct. 31. Anglers are allowed to use bait in streams Sept. 1. In streams, anglers may harvest 2 trout per day that are a minimum of 8 inches long. Trout fishing in Tenmile Lakes, Eel Lake, Saunders Lake are open all year.
Largemouth bass fishing has been very good with anglers catching lots of bass on Senkos and other plastics. Bass will be spreading out and found in deeper water during the day. Fishing for bass will be best early mornings and evenings.
Anglers fishing from the county fish dock on South Tenmile Lake and boat anglers fishing in 10-16 feet of water have been catching yellow perch fishing with a worm near the bottom. There are lots of small yellow perch so anglers will have to sort to find larger perch.
The wild coho salmon season on Tenmile Lakes opened on October 1 and will continue through December 31. Anglers are allowed to harvest 1 wild adult coho per day (and 1 wild coho jack per day) and 5 wild adult coho per season. The 5 wild coho salmon are in aggregate with Siltcoos and Tahkenitch lakes.
