Bridgeport is fishing very well still though things are changing quite a bit out there with the colder weather. We’ve started getting some good reports from shore anglers down near the dam, some anglers are getting into limits of 2 to 4 pounders down there. With the colder water temps the fish are spreading out and leaving the inlet channels, though there are still fish to be caught in the channels. The trolling has picked up and the weeds and algae are starting to die off, slowly but surely. Trollers are using night crawlers, speedy shiners, thomas bouyants and rapalas, bait anglers are using pinched crawlers, inflated crawlers, mice tails and powerbait. Fly anglers are using streamers like seal buggers, mini leeches, matukas, simi seal leeches with soft hackle and pheasant tail droppers.
