The Fishing on Silver Lake has been pretty good this past week with lots of stringers and several larger Rainbows being caught both in Silver Lake and Rush Creek.  The weather has heated up and so has the fishing as that sun is slowly starting to warm the snowmelt waters throughout the region.  Water temperatures are sitting above 50 degrees now which has made all those fish more active and out feeding throughout the day.  Most anglers are seeing the best action early in the mornings and late in the afternoons which is consistent with our normal patterns from years past.  Berkley Mice Tails in all colors, Pinch Crawlers, and Dough Baits with Garlic scent have been the most consistent working from the top down.  Look for the lake to start to change with the warmer waters pushing down deeper in the next few weeks.  If you enjoy tossing a lure the Thomas Buoyant Gold/Red has and continues to be our most consistent lure, as well as using a Kastmaster or Needle Fish.  Trolling has been getting better as well with anglers using a Tasmanian Devil with some red or pinks in it, as well as pulling a dry streamer like a Rainbow Hornberg or Olive Wooly Bugger.  Don’t be afraid to try different techniques and types of baits to see what results you may get.

We are on schedule for two loads of Rainbows this coming week, as DFW is on an every other week schedule which is this coming week and we will get a nice healthy load of Desert Spring Rainbows that will be 400 pounds with an average of 4 pounds per Rainbow.  There are lots of fish out in Silver Lake, you just need to come up and get after them.

Happy Fishing and We Will See You at The Lake !!!!
